| Incident Private Andrew Cutts, 19, of the Royal Logistic Corps, was killed when his battle group came under fire from Taliban insurgents in the Sangin Valley in Helmand province on 6 August, 2006. He was one of a group of highly trained soldiers responsible for providing firepower and protection for logistic support convoys delivering combat supplies to British troops in Helmand. He grew up in Blidworth, near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, and had a twin brother, James, who also went on to join the Army. |
